Winter Specialist Klaas Joren & Johan Buis
Today we went out with the ABC florists of the ‘Gelderse Achterhoek’. At 10:00 we started with coffee at FloraPlus and then direction to the idyllic ‘Uiterweg’ to learn more about the lilac cultivation and craftsmanship of Klaas Joren. Klaas tells us about the history of the lilac cultivation. At that moment a boat with lilac shrubs arrives of the fields. The lilacs will be drawn into bloom in the greenhouses.
We have lunch in the Tea House of the De Historische Tuin Aalsmeer and in the afternoon we visit Mediaverdi. The family business Johan Buis cultivates with great dedication the Viburnum Opulus ‘Roseum’, (the snowball Bush) .
