Why Calla curls? – Simply Calla

Do you know …..

Why curls the end of the stem of the calla on the vase? This is due to cell voltage of the stem in water. You can counteract curling by doing sugar in the water or sticking an adhesive tape at the end of the stem. Personally, I find it just as the amarillis very decorative.

Yesterday I was invited for a Meet and Greet at Keukenhof by Simply Calla. Together with 120 Calla growers it was possible to learn more about Calla. Pascal Bakker and Joan Stam showed us Calla suits perfect in a mixed Bouquet. It’s a very easy flower and adds value to every Bouquet!

You can use Calla year round so ask for Calla at your supplier….
