FROM DUTCH SOIL – Kitty de Jong van Agro Fleur Select

At the edge of the forest in Noordwijkerhout you will find the fields with Amerine from Kitty de Jong. You have to see on an early morning she says, when the sun rises and the fog still hangs over the fields, the Nerine buttons stabbing proudly up by the fog and you see the forest in the background, it’s magical!

Kitty is a growers daughter, together with her father she is a breeding and grower of Nerine. In order to grow Nerine you need to have a lot of patience. It starts with confidence in your product, the tissue culture, crossing of the bulbs, selection, it is quite an investment before you can offer a reliable product. She was nominated in 2014 for “de Glazen Tulp” as a favorite of the jury with Amarine belladiva® this is a cross between Amaryllis and Nerine.
