Oriental Lilies
COMING HOME…….I am lucky to be able to bring home all sorts of blooms to enjoy. A few weeks ago on a Wednesday I brought home some big, bold oriental lilies not even realizing that early Thursday morning I was leaving with the family for some days to Spain.
When I realized I had these lilies and wasn’t going to be around to enjoy them, my first thought was to give them to somebody else, but for now it was better to get these beauties in some water. I clipped the stems and placed them in a vase, figuring I could give it to a neighbor or …..then the phone rang, kids ask for attention, dinner had to be prepared and bags needed to be packed. In short, this left the lilies sitting in their vase all forgotten when we left the early next morning.
When we arrived home after some days, I walked into the living room and the rich warm scent of the Orientals was enveloping my senses. Ten stems of Orientals welcomed us from our return…. My message to give you in this holiday season:
Try leaving some Oriental Lilies at your house to welcome you home.
